So, an idea I just need to get off my chest: Daughter!Reader of Daddy!Hanzo. He’s been dragging her along with him ever since the fall of the empire. Had an arranged marriage and had a daughter when he was eighteen. He almost left her there, but his guilt was already so heavy after killing his brother he just couldn’t leave her, who knows what would have become of her. Sometimes he thinks she might have been better off but there’s no way to tell.
She’s all grown up now, and it’s like, let’s say a year away from dragons short timeline. They’ve been so isolated that unnatural feelings have been simmering, starting to bubble up to the surface. Hanzo is rare with his physical affections towards her both because of who he is as a person, and because of how she’s been making him feel lately.
However, the one thing he always does with her before he leaves her to go and fulfill the odd contract is give her a kiss. It used to be quick and innocent but lately, he’s been lingering, holding onto her neck tighter. Sometimes he even growls or moans, and daughter!reader is already touched starved and frustrated as it is, and that contact always leaves her wanting more and confused. She is so over the moon about her papa, but he’s hard to get close to, even for her.
And the bed sharing that they’re forced into sometimes gets very intense. I imagine one night where Hanzo’s discipline gives way (maybe he’s a little drunk) he goes to give her a kiss “good night” and it turns into this heavy make out session that leads to them barely talking for a weak or two. Hanzo already has trouble dealing with his emotions, he’s having a hell of a time dealing with the guilt from that. The silence is just so he doesn’t become irrationally angry with her cause he doesn’t know how else to deal.
So the little twist in this fantasy is that Hanzo and his daughter are in Hanamura a lot more than the Japanese government, or Overwatch is aware of (not just the yearly visits to his brother’s grave). And when they are there and Hanzo is doing business he’ll drop daughter!reader off in the arcade with the strict order to stay there. She should be studying (cause Hanzo makes sure she still learns even though she doesn’t have tutors). But often she ends up getting distracted and plays video games instead.
Okay? So Genji’s been frequenting Hanamura as well ever since he started traveling with Zenyatta. And likes to visit the old arcade that he spent so much time in in his youth, it helps make him feel human again. It’s a good kind of nostalgia. It just so happens that Genji runs into Hanzo!daughter a lot and doesn’t recognize her. Even if there’s “something” about her, he just writes off the feeling as an attraction, and not that she’s his long-lost niece.
For Genji he’s not aggressive with his affections for her cause she is young and he has reservations about that. But she’s so cute and doesn’t mind his cyborg appearance at all. Hanzo!daughter absolutely loves it when he gets behind her and teaches her how to play the games. His cyborg body is so warm and he’s not shy about getting close. Putting his hands over hers as he’s teaching her the best combo moves, whispering in her ear. They have a good time together (even if they’re both lying through their teeth about who they are, fake names and everything).
All daughter!reader wants is to get back that feeling she had with her papa when he was on top of her, kissing her. They were so close, making her whole body warm with tingles. It felt so good just to be surrounded by him. It’s nearly all she can think about. But she knows it’s wrong, and Hanzo has been even more distant because of it. While her arcade friend isn’t her papa, she certainly wouldn’t mind feeding her touched starved body with the touch of her nice friend who knows all of the right moves. Especially if that would save her and her papa’s relationship.
