“I’ve had enough.” With McCree? McCree’s a wondering cowboy and his S/O is done with him? Break that lovable cowboy’s heart.

Sorry this one took so long!

You waited anxiously for Jesse to return to your home. It used to be his home, too.

You sat on the back of the sofa, peeking out through the blinds. You kept checking your phone for the time, compounding your restlessness. You almost went outside to get a better look around, just in case he ws moseying down the street.

You didn’t have much to do besides wait. You didn’t do much when he was home, anyway. It was always too risky to go out and be seen together. Normal things like going on dates to eat out or visit the park were out of the question. Last time Jesse came home, you got cabin fever so badly that you picked a fight, yelling at him over his leaving his boots in the hallway. It was stupid, and you hated yourself for it.

That’s when you started thinking.

Normally, Jesse’s exploits only ended up in the news local to the area. You made the mistake of checking all the articles, and it got inside your head. He was honest with you that there was always a small chance that someone would come to harm you to get to him. Or that you could be arrested for harbouring a criminal. It got to the point that you jumped almost a foot off the ground whenever a neighbour said hi. You didn’t want to live your life this way anymore.

The train incident involving Talon being all over the news was the last straw.

You saw the dark red of Jesse’s serape down the street in the waning sun. You dialed his number and put the phone to your ear.

“Somethin’ wrong?” he answered. He knew right away something was up, because you never called him the day he was expected home.

You hesitated.

“I made a deal with the police,” you said solemnly. “I’m sorry Jesse. I can’t-”

His loud swearing drowned out your explanation.

“Why’d you do this ta me?!” he demanded. “Ya took my only safe place from me. Why?!

"It’s not safe, Jesse. Not for me. Because of you. I’ve had enough.”

He swore some more, quietly, instead of arguing, because he knew it was true.

He spit on the ground and asked, “Do I at least get a head start?”

“No,” you replied. “They agreed not to charge me if they caught you. That’s the deal.”

Jesse said no more. You heard yelling in the background. Some shots were fired. You hung up then, because you had some crying to do.

What about ask #1 with Genji? Mmmmmm, angst

Here is the requested angst. 😮 “I love you, please don’t go,” with Genji.

When Genji fell for you, it scared him.

He used any pull he had with Winston to avoid going on missions with you. Being close but stopping himself from touching you or telling you the truth pained his heart.

What if you noticed his gaze lingering on you, your body or your face, and began to wonder? He was terrified that you not returning his feelings might set him back. Genji had worked hard to be able to look in the mirror and not want to shatter it. He put up walls when it came to you. It hurt, but it hurt less than rejection, he was sure.

One day, Genji’s ears caught a conversation about you. Before he could tune it out, he caught the words “Minato Clan Mission.” That alarmed him.

He did not want you anywhere near the members of that clan. They had been next on the list to dismantle, after his former own clan, before he left Overwatch. Even if it was just reconnaissance, he should be there to anticipate any dangers.

He got up and ran to his weapons locker. Your safety meant more to him than his own feelings, and it was too late to talk to Winston about changes.

You were about to step on the ramp of the Orca, when someone called your name from behind you. You turned around.

There stood Genji, face plates on and weapons strapped to his back. Ready to go.

“…Genji?”

He took a step closer.

“Don’t go,” he said.

“What? Why?”

“I love you,” he stated. “A-and I should be accompanying you on that mission. I could not forgive myself if something happened to you.”

“Okaaaay,” you said. While this wasn’t necessarily unwelcome news, you felt put on the spot and flustered. “But why are you telling me now?”

Genji took another step forward, but he seemed to changed his mind, settled his shoulders back, and clasped his hands behind his back.

“I know these people. You are in danger without me there to advise you. I want you to let me go with you. Please.”

“Okay,” you said. You blushed, not sure what to say just yet. “You’ll watch my back?”

“No one will harm you. And if you don’t return my feelings, I promise, you won’t hear another word.”

Genji followed inside the Orca. You’re glad he said that, because he was about to be disappointed.

22 with Genji

“This isn’t goodbye,” with Genji.

“No,” you insisted quietly, sadly.

“You are being dramatic,” Genji said gently.

His thumbs brushed your tears away. You seized his wrists, hoping to keep him close, even though you knew he had to leave. Overwatch called him away from you. He answered, a debt weighing on his soul after taking so much in his younger years.

You couldn’t follow him just yet. Or maybe at all. The details hadn’t been worked out. You had just established yourself a good life here, with Genji. You kept him rooted to this home, and he kept you rooted to reality. He was your rock, something solid to lean against when things were tough. He kept you laughing when you were down. You couldn’t believe it was being pulled out from under you.

“I’m not!” you insisted. “I’m used to you being here. What am I going to do?”

“I will call you.” Genji cupped your face with you still clinging to his wrists. “You know this.”

“What if I need to hold your hand?” you asked, covering one of his hands with yours.

“I will return to you,” he said. “This isn’t goodbye.”

You finally nodded. You trusted him. His hands slipped behind your head to pull you in for a tight hug. Fresh tears squeezed out of your eyes, because you knew you wouldn’t get to hold him for a while.

“You will be fine. You are stronger than you believe.”

The words would sink in later when you stood alone in your home, with only yourself to rely on. For now, you cried like a child while he approached the side of the train, intending to stow away on it.

“Call me tomorrow!” you called after him. “Please,” you added, voice cracking.

“Of course!” he called back over his shoulder, climbing the side of the train car.

The train pulled away, kicking up dust that clung to your tear-stained cheeks. Giving you a neglected look.

“I wasn’t lying when I said that I loved you.” for Genji?

Hold on to your hat for some angst, Anon.

This was never supposed to happen. Genji was a hero and made of strong metal, a stronger spirit, and he always cheated death.

Yet here you are, dragging his limp body—which is just as heavy as you’d expect—to cover, hoping the trail of blood he was leaving behind didn’t lead Talon to your location.

You couldn’t breathe, except to summon Mercy to your aid.

“-Agent!” Mercy yelled next to your ear.

She looked a hair away from slapping you to get your attention, panting, ragged, and flushed. Although, she might not truly want to. Just, your world had tightened to the deadly still man/machine that lay at your knees.

Oh, right, there was gunfire splitting the air and orders being shouted in your earpiece.

“I need to stop the bleeding,” Mercy told you loudly over the noise.

She said, “I,” not “we,” and the voice in your ear ordered you elsewhere. Away…from him.

She went about her work. You were left hesitating. About to kick and scream like a child left at daycare. Not understanding. It was unfair. No!

You looked at him and knew you may never get this chance again. The blood was pooling at his side.

You bent down until your head touched the front of Genji’s helm. You held his visor.

“I love you,” you said, knowing no one could hear you. Not even he.

And off you went. You survived the rest of the mission somehow in a blur. It was luck; you should have died. Not that you would have minded. Next thing you knew, you were strapped in on the Orca. Mercy blocking your view of Genji lying on the pull-out gourney. She fussed over him, wires and tubes sticking out at all angles, and you didn’t think much of it. Too drained. You fell asleep, your head bobbing with the movement of the dropship.

The next day, the other agents spread the word around that he was recovering in the medbay. Your heart stirred. Until then, it had remained dormant.

You were summoned to Genji’s room, for him to personally thank you for saving him. You went with confidence, because he couldn’t have heard you your spill your heart. It was still a secret.

But he did, and he asked if it was true just as you were getting up to leave from your chair. You couldn’t lie to him, nor could you voice the truth. With your heart in your eyes, you nodded.

“I am tired, but…can you stay with me?” Genji asked quietly, turning his hand slowly palm up, offering it to you.

“Yes,” you said, taking his hand and tucking to your lap with care.

Genji curled in your direction to lie on his side. His eyes fell closed, and he went to sleep.

Kitty Kompanion Ch 6

Back! Genji messaged you.

You sent back ten crying emojis.

🙂 ❤ There, there, he replied. Btw, I made an appointment with Angela. I want to hear this from her myself. She is obliging us with an appointment immediately, My Lovely Glowing Mate.

You met him at the landing pad with a hand on your belly and an ache in both your feet. Which was probably only going to get worse as time went on. Genji arrived with another stuffed animal, but he wrapped his arms around your body first. You gave him your tightest hug, pressing his armour into the thick, rubbery synthetic skin underneath.

“I’m sorry,” you told him.

“Me, too,” he said. “Sorry that you are lonely.”

He asked how you were doing, you mentioned your hurting feet, and he insisted on carrying you to the appointment. In your lap were his face plates and a new stuffed gecko.

“Honey, I love you. But bring me food next time,” you requested politely. “Angela is on my case for not gaining enough weight.”

You waved your cell phone to add emphasis. You had been chatting with her several times a day, any time you needed. Then you tucked the phone back into your bra.

“What are you eating?”

“Don’t tell Winston, but,” you lowered your voice to a whisper, “I’m stealing his peanut butter.”

“Is that it?”

You could not hide from Genji’s disappointed frown.

“It’s the only thing my stomach will accept,” you admittedly quietly.

He sighed out of his nose.

“Then what do want me to bring you?”

“Umm…chocolate?”

Genji rumbled in frustration. “You cannot just eat peanut butter and chocolate.”

This time the doctor had lines between her brows while she took your measurements and readings. She was professional. You lay again on the exam table to receive the scan. She brought over a holopad that had an image of the scan. Two vaguely-baby shaped blotches appeared on the screen.

“Here is what I know,” she said. She pointed to the larger mass. “Child one is healthy, the older child. A girl. Child two,” she said, pointing to the second mass, “is smaller, less developed by two or three weeks. Seems to be a boy. Its tail has not receded yet.”

You immediately looked to Genji. “Do you think?”

“Yes,” he said, turning to Angela. “Does the boy have cat ears?”

“Yes, I wanted to ask about this before I jumped to conclusions. As for the ears…it’s hard to tell. We might be able to tell when you’re further along.”

“Hanzo will be pleased to hear this,” Genji said.

“I thought he didn’t like the idea of my ‘brats’ having his tiger power,” you said.

“He didn’t, but he is also one of those from the clan who believes the power is being diluted. That every new generation of marrying outside the family, there is less of a chance of it being passed on.” Genji lowered his chin and the volume of his voice. “There is a small history of inbreeding in my family.”

You recoiled in shock. “Oh. Shit.”

“Well, there is nothing wrong with this family,” Angela cut in. “That I can assure you! I’ll make sure of it.”

“Yes, because you noticed a whole second kitten inside her belly,” Genji said sarcastically, without any real bite.

“We were gossiping! Stress relief is important…” Angela waved her hands dismissively. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get some coffee so I can look over the data.”

Angela left the two of you alone in the exam room. You found yourself just staring at each other.

“Are you alright?” Genji asked.

You sighed and gazed down at your bulging stomach with knotted brows. Two babies?

“No. This is crazy.”

“I know,” he said. He worked his fingers in between yours and held your hand. “But I will be here.”

You intended to mask your true feelings when you looked back at him, but he knew you better by now. You never wanted to see Genji unhappy, that downward curve of his mouth, but you couldn’t lie, either.

“Tell me what’s on your mind.”

“It feels like you’re never here. But,” you were quick to add, “I know why you need to go away. It just sucks, is all. I miss you.”

“Why didn’t you tell me this was upsetting you?”

“I don’t want to bother you. You’re busy as it is, supporting me and working.”

“It is not a bother,” Genji said, gently shaking your hand, “You know I can call you during longer missions. That is what the secure channels are for.”

“Okay,” was all you said. The issue seemed to be have been settled. Now was a good time to change the subject. “So…you gonna tell Hanzo?”

“Yes, after I put you down for your nap.”

He tightened his grip on the hand he held so you couldn’t smack him. You just made angry noises at him.

“He may be doubly angry for double the kittens.”

“God, I hope not. I’m too pregnant to care about his feelings right now.”

“Don’t you worry about that,” he said.

“But that’s all I got. Time!”

“What else do you do?”

“A lot of nothing,” you admitted.

“Nothing? No wonder you get lonely. Can’t you aide Winston?”

“He said he doesn’t need anything.”

“What about Angela?”

“I don’t want to bother her more than I am now.”

“It’s not a bother. Head back to our room, and I will meet you there.”

He has known her longer than you, so you trusted his judgement and continued on. Half an hour later, you rolled over in bed to find a waiting notification on your phone. It was Genji, asking if he could come back a bit later. He was going to tell Hanzo the news in person. He promised he wasn’t leaving for two more days.

Okay, but you’re not leaving this bed when you come back, you replied.

“That’s impressive!” exclaimed Hanzo, bro-punching Genji in the shoulder.

It was the only friendly physical contact he’d had from Hanzo in years, so the cyborg dodged it. He froze mid-dodge, fearing he made the atmosphere awkward and expecting Hanzo to hit him for real this time. Genji started to laugh, pointing at Hanzo with both pointer fingers. He went with it, with a smile that would melt the most frigid ice cap. His dark brown eyes sparkled between two sets of black eyelashes. Genji was proud in this moment to be the brother of an extremely attractive and capable man that Hanzo grew up to be. The emotion that expanded in his chest threatened to spill forth as tears. He blinked and wet his eyelashes with them, unable to wipe them away beneath his mask.

Thinking quickly, he said, “Why don’t we celebrate?”

To Genji’s never-ending amazement, his brother agreed. Their options were few. As agents of the illegal Overwatch, they had to keep a low profile at all times, so going out was out of the question. Genji excitedly messaged you that he and Hanzo were going to spend some time on the roof of the watchpoint, sharing a cheap bottle of something dark-coloured that Genji stole from McCree (he would apologize later and replace it with something better).

After Hanzo spat out a vehement insult at McCree for his taste in whiskey, the brothers traded remember-when’s, laughing, for a good, long while. They had been meaning to watch the stars as well, but the clouds only allowed them occasional peeks.

“Did you find out if either of your kittens will have the power of the tiger?”

“No.”

Hanzo’s hand swung up to whap Genji on the back of the head, but the cyborg blocked it with his forearm. He was faster.

“You know that would be important,” Hanzo stated.

Genji rotated his arm and grabbed Hanzo’s wrist.

“The kittens are healthy,” Genji said. “That is what is important.”

Hanzo ripped his arm from Genji’s grasp and brooded for a few moments.

“I hope your kittens have a better future than we did,” Hanzo concluded somberly.

Genji had to agree.

In the meantime, Angela had some concerning advice for you regarding your pregnancy. You ended up going to sleep before Genji go back. You woke up to his happy face. You were reluctant to tell Genji the advice, so you let him chatter to you about his night with his brother. How they had connected in the way he had longed for. He was only ever more excited when he spoke of what he wanted to show and teach his kittens.

“But I must not come on too strong, in case he gets scared away,” Genji concluded.

“So you’re going to approach him cautiously, like you would a cat?”

Genji let the silence stretch before answering, while you grinned obnoxiously.

“That isn’t funny.”

“It is,” you insisted, still showing teeth, “You just don’t think so.”

Genji sighed at you. “You are lucky I love you.”

You changed the subject. Tentatively explained that Angela said she didn’t know why the second baby appeared. And until she understood better what happened, she advised that it was best that you and he refrain from vaginal sex. To avoid adding a third. It wouldn’t be the weirdest thing that has happened to Overwatch agents.

Your words were met with dead silence. Oh, shit.

‘I can’t sleep, can I stay here?’, fluff moment with Blackwatch Genji and Blackwatch reader (nurse or agent, up to you) Coz he deserve more love!! 😆😆

I changed this up a little, but I think it’s still good! Hope you agree.

“Really? He’s never rude to me. A bit cold, maybe. That’s it.”

“That,” Jesse said, jabbing his cigarillo in the air, “is because he thinks you’re sweeter ‘n a candied cherry dipped in chocolate and rolled in powdered sugar.”

You giggled. “Jesse, that’s ridiculous.”

“It’s true,” he insisted, leaning back on the sofa and putting his feet up on the coffee table.

“Then why doesn’t he tell me?”

Jesse snorted, shooting you a knowing smile.

“What?” you asked.

He shook his head silently, still wearing that smile.

“I’ve had enough of your shit, Jesse,” you grumbled.

You got up and left.

You woke up from a nightmare again that night. Your veins on fire, your body stiff and muscles angry. The little girl you found dead during a mission six months ago still haunted you today. You weren’t the only one who had nightmares. No one made fun of you for this, but you still suffered. Not wanting to see her face in your dreams again, you got out of bed before you fell asleep again.

You shuffled miserably back to the Blackwatch rec area. Really, it was a living room, because it not only had that sofa, but also a TV, and some gaming consoles. Genji was sitting on the sofa, thumbing at his cell phone.

You were hoping to be alone. But if Jesse was right, Genji wouldn’t mind you sitting next to him.

“Hello,” he greeted you quietly.

“Hey.”

“Why are you up?”

“Nightmare,” you said simply.

You sniffled and whiped your runny nose with the back of your hand. Any more words, and you’d start to cry.

“The girl, right?”

You jerked your head up to look at him. His red eyes bored into you.

“Yeah. How did you know?” you asked.

“I saw you cry for her after that mission.”

You were stunned that Genji remembered. He barely said a word to anyone but Jesse and Commander Reyes. And when he did speak, he said, “No,” rather rudely. You didn’t think he cared, let alone remembered such a detail about someone other than himself.

You didn’t expect Genji’s human arm to come around you, so you jumped a bit. But then you settled into his body while he pulled you close. You let the tears stream, taking deep breaths, letting out your grief, and listening to Genji’s steady breathing.

“Mind if I stay here? I don’t want to go back to sleep.”

“I do not mind.”

a/n: short angst attempt for our good ol’ favorite shotgun user.

Not everyone welcomed death. Even fewer welcomed it with love, warm arms wrapping around a cold body or a kiss stained with the color red. You smiled, even while your life faded away from your eyes, telling him that you still loved him, that if anyone were to kill you then it was only right for it to have been him.

He cradled you in his arms, the warmth of your body long gone, but still, he held you praying that maybe, just maybe this was all a horrible, horrible nightmare. That he would wake up and he would be just Gabriel Reyes, commander of Blackwatch, not the abombination he is now, and you would be the person he swore to live the rest of his life with.

But this isn’t a dream, this was reality. Death weeped, screamed, cursed himself and what he had done. He would never be able to wash his hands clean of your blood, it would stain his hands no matter what he did.

“From the day we met, I knew I’d hurt you eventually.”

Sad Imagine

Imagine Gabriel having a wife before the fall and having a good an happy life

Imagine said wife being pregnant just before the fall happens

Imagine said wife passing away giving birth to a beautiful daughter

Imagine Gabriel now Reaper knows of this daughter and does everything to go and see her

Imagine that said daughter lives with her aunt and she tells of the said imaginary friend/potential father

Imagine the only time he’s able to see her is on one day in the year

Imagine that day of the year being the daughters birthday (he asks for that day off and no one knows why…except Sombra)

Imagine him sneaking into his daughters room just to have a moment with her and she is smiling and giggling seeing her friend appear once again

Imagine him giving her gifts and teaching various stuff like he would’ve if he was able to be her father

Imagine her wishing said man was her dad before she falls asleep

Imagine him kissing her goodnight and saying how proud she is of her

Imagine him always keeping an eye on her wishing to have that father daughter life

Imagine him visiting his late wife’s grave telling her stone how much their child has grown and how he is sorry he wasn’t there to be with them in their last moments

Plz. Plz do not do this to me.

Hi! Idk if youre doing requests or not but I would love to request Blackwatch Genji falling for the new girl in Blackwatch and she feels the same way but is too afraid to tell him. What would happen? Would they confess or would Genji leave before she can say anything? 😭 fluff and angst please ☺️

bumblinas-imagines:

So I made sure to get Genji’s Blackwatch skin during Retribution and I yelled “tits out for Shimada”. I love Genji XD

– In his BW days, Genji’s a little… he’s really not in the best mindset for romance.

– Falling in love with anybody would be a whole new experience for him. He still knows how to woo in theory, but in practice is a little different. He’s not confident anymore.

– It would evolve slowly. Coworkers. Strangers. Acquaintances. That’s the easy part. Friends…?

– His trust in you grew out of respect, both for you and from you.

– You never ignored his cybernetics, but you never treated him differently for it. You asked questions, but never pried. And you never once looked at him with pity or sadness for his body.

– You held your own, handled him at his worst, and held him to the same expectations as you did with everyone else. At the end of the day, you were the one that made him feel the most human

– He didn’t fall in love with your looks (though he found you incredibly attractive), he fell in love with your teasing and laughter, the way your mind worked, your softness and your ferocity. He fell in love with the essence of you. And he could tell that you had fallen for him as well.

– Genji was conflicted over this at first and withdrew from you. It broke his heart to do so, but he wasn’t ready for this, not yet.

– Over time, he hoped you’d forget about him, however unlikely that would be. When Overwatch fell and he started wandering, he did what he could to forget about you.

– It never really worked though.

– When Winston issued the recall, he didn’t count on seeing you return, though, he really should have.

– It’s been nearly a decade, neither of you are the same people you were back then. And then there’s that whole deal with forgiving him for shutting you out.

– As you work together, you get to know each other again, but only time will tell if that unspoken thing from the past is ever said, or if those old feelings ever return.

Merman Hanzo Headcannons

because I did Genji, how could I not? this fuckin art, also

  • likes to peoplewatch from afar while the cute, foolish humans splash and have fun on the beach
  • he spotted you with your friends and he had an “Aha!” moment deep inside
  • he’s cautious though, he just watches you at first instead of approaching
  • lucky for this shy man, you keep coming back to the beach day after day so he can figure out what kind of person you are
  • after a few weeks watching you and liking what he sees, Hanzo realizes he’s fallen for you without even speaking to you
  • he’s super embarrassed of this fact but also determined to meet you in person to see if his feelings are based on fact and not just him daydreaming (Genji may have also teased him, making him more determined)
  • he spends his days watching you, and his nights in a human form with long, beautiful black hair, learning how to walk with confidence and not trip and fall on his face in front of you and your friends
  • one day he just goes for it, and a beautiful stranger with a long, black braid introduces himself to you and your group of friends
  • you can’t help wanting to stay until late, not wanting you and Hanzo part
  • you two end up having a romantic moonlit picnic holding hands and talking about anything and everything, and he lets you undo his braid to stroke his lovely hair
  • he shows you who he really is before the night is over
  • you accept who is, and he’s definitely in love with you and this seals it for Hanzo that he wants to live with you on land
  • you don’t know what happened when he went home and came back upset with his hair cut short, but his chin held high
  • just give him some time, he’ll explain to you how his love for you wasn’t accepted so he straight up left (he was banished as well, which upset him, but he was willing to take a risk on you)
